Darke Engineering spans its support to Rochdale AFC Ladies U14’s football team, by sponsoring the winter jackets. One of Darke Engineering’s valued employees has a daughter who plays in the team and it’s a great thing to be able to support them, especially with the obvious and deserved surge in ladies football. Here’s hoping that 2024 is a rewarding season for the girls.
Rochdale AFC Ladies U14’s struggled to even make a team with only 5 players the week before their first 7 aside game at U10’s. Since then, they have grown massively, welcoming in more and more outstandingly talented female footballers.
After their first 2 seasons being a large success but unfortunately overshadowed by Covid disruption, they found themselves in constant battles at the top of the table. They also celebrated huge successes in cups where they have only ever finished in a final or a semi-final. This goes to show the level these girls strive to be at.
The step up to 11 aside for this amazing team was well awaited and needed. Starting this season, they have gone undefeated in all competitions. Conceding just 6 goals and managing to shift plenty into their opponents net, they are hoping this season will be hugely successful. The team puts in so much hard work week after week, it’s most certainly deserved.
